UW Odyssey Project Marks 15 Years Of Community Outreach
For 15 years the UW Odyssey Project has given low-income adults access to college level education coursework. The project has two main components — the Odyssey Course, and then continuing studies.
The readings for the Odyssey Course range in time from the ancient world to present day, and include a large portion of classic American texts from the Bill of Rights to Toni Morrison.
We talk to the director of the program about how it has helped people rise from poverty, and why its retention and completion rates are so high.
