In a limited ruling that leaves unresolved the issue of whether a business can refuse service to gay and lesbian people over moral objections, the U.S. Supreme Court sided with a Colorado baker who wouldn’t make a wedding cake for a gay couple. We break down the ruling and what it means for similar cases going forward. Then, the lawsuit filed over conditions at Lincoln Hills and Copper Lake Schools has ended in a settlement agreement that restricts usage of pepper spray and other mechanical restraints, and ends the use of solitary confinement over the next 10 months. We talk to a reporter for more details. We also welcome your calls about programming on Mondays with Mike.
