The upcoming growing season and commodity trends for western Wisconsin’s crops was topic for The West Side on Monday, April 3 at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls.
Kremer welcomed Jim Holte, president of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, Jerry Clark, UW-Extension Agriculture Agent for Chippewa County and Brenda Boetel, professor and chair of Agriculture and Economics at UW-River Falls. They discussed some of the challenges and expectations of the upcoming growing season, the effect of prices on production, as well the impacts of trade on western Wisconsin farmers.
