Heard On Special Programming

Along the banks of the Wolf River, a tribal elder tells the oral tradition of the Menominee people. We learn not only who the Menominee are, but why they’re in Wisconsin, and about efforts to preserve their traditions. And then, from the flowing waters of Duck Creek, an Oneida elder shares the oral tradition of his people and their creation story, and how he has learned to navigate two worlds: the modern and the traditional.
