Host Al Ross and Robert Baca, the head of the UWEC jazz studies department, share their conversation about the huge adjustments the department is undergoing due to COVID-19. Specifically he will discuss “Tunes on Tuesdays,” a new initiative where faculty members release songs on YouTube every Tuesday from new recordings and UWEC jazz albums.
Michael Axelrod, director of human development and professor of psychology at UWEC, discusses the various psychological effects of COVID-19 that he and his colleagues are studying.
Josh Aerie of Northwoods Strings previewes the next offering in the group’s new virtual concert series “String Thing Hangouts.” He shares some songs from the upcoming concert “Bringing Music to Life: Becoming an Interpretive Artist.” The virtual concert will be broadcast over Zoom at 4 pm on Oct. 26.
Correspondent Katharine Thomas interviews Ryan Stevens, guest director at St. Croix Festival Theatre. He is leading its virtual, voice only production of “Stuart Little”.
