Host Al Ross welcomed Barron musician Chris Kroeze to talk about his career after winning second place on NBC’s The Voice. The two also explored his new album about to be released and previewed his sold-out performances taking place on March 29 and 30 at The Pablo Center at the Confluence in Eau Claire.
Dr. Eric Kasper, UWEC associate professor of political science visited Ross to talk about two books he has recently published: “You Shook Me All Campaign Long: Music in the 2016 Presidential Election and Beyond” and “The United States Constitution in Film: Part of Our National Culture.” Kasper and Ross discussed the books and the research that went behind them.
Special Correspondent Jim Oliver spoke with Randy Skjerly about a compilation of newspaper columns that he wrote and was featured in from 1987 to 1991 in the Dunn County News. The new book called “Last Writes” was compiled by his daughter Arlene and contains 300 of his columns.
Board president and violinist Robin Fossum of the Red Cedar Symphony Orchestra joined Ross to discuss the group’s upcoming “Homegrown” concert. The event takes place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake and features ensembles made up of symphony members.
