He provided samples from the band’s latest album, “Haven.” We Banjo 3, originally from Galway, Ireland, and now of Nashville, will be performing at 7:30 p.m. on March 6 at the Metro in Eau Claire.
Steve Betchkal of Eau Claire stopped by the show to discuss his sixth book, “Walk the Walk, Camp the Camp, Bird the Bird: The Fantastic Quest to Meet Every Species of Bird on Planet Earth, Spend a Year Outside My Comfortable Little House, and Follow the Trail to Its Logical Conclusion.”
Western Wisconsin native Vicky Emerson explained the roots of her new album “Steady Heart.” The album includes both original tracks and interesting cover arrangements, some of which was featured during the hour. Emerson will be performing at 8 p.m. on March 9 at the Big River Theatre in Alma.
Special Correspondent Jim Oliver chatted with Jennifer Chapman, director of the UWEC Theatre production “The House of Blue Leaves.” The two discussed the dark comedy about a struggling New York songwriter, his wife, their son, a girlfriend, some nuns and a visit from the pope. The show runs from March 7 through March 17.
