Host Al Ross welcomed Paula Poundstone back to the show to talk about her current tour and her most recent book “The Totally Unscientific Study of the Search for Human Happiness” and her podcast “Nobody Listens to Paula Poundstone.” Poundstone, a frequent guest panelist on the NPR comedy quiz show Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! (heard Saturdays at 9 a.m. on The Ideas Network), will be performing at 8 p.m. on Feb. 21 at the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts in Menomonie.

Geoff Peterson of the Chippewa Valley Jazz Orchestra stopped by for a look ahead to the Chippewa Valley Jazz Orchestra’s upcoming concert “Wisco in the House,” slated for Feb. 23 at the Pablo Center at the Confluence in Eau Claire. The concert will feature two Wisconsin natives – trumpeter/composer Andrew Neesley and vocalist Mel Flannery. Both musicians currently base out of New York City.
