Founder and music director of The Master Singers Gary Schwartzhoff talked with Ross about the details of their upcoming performances for the holiday season. “Lessons and Carols: The Huron Carol” performed by The Master Singers will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec.14 at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eau Claire and at 1 p.m. Dec. 15 at St. Charles Borromeo Church of Chippewa Falls.
Tom Larson, the owner of Ballroom & Wedding Dance Studio in Minneapolis, chatted with Ross about his experience as a dancer and how he finds value in his work. Larson also shared information about the ballroom and Latin dance lesson offerings at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson.
Correspondent Jim Oliver welcomed Arthur Grothe, the associate professor of theatre arts at UW-Eau Claire. Grothe is the director of “She Kills Monsters,” an upcoming UWEC Theatre performance. The dramatic comedy show, based on the fantasy game “Dungeons & Dragons,” will run Dec. 11 through 16 at the Pablo Center at the Confluence.
Isa Small, librarian and communication specialist, previewed the 40th ArtsWest exhibit coming this spring to the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire. Small will speak about submissions and themes for the spring show.
Poet Thomas R. Smith previewed the Annual Tribute to John Lennon and the Beatles coinciding with the anniversary of Lennon’s death on Dec. 8, 1980. The event will be held at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the River Falls Public Library
