In a special year-end episode of ‘Spectrum West’ host Al Ross looks back at the old year and ahead to the new through the eyes and voices of eight western Wisconsin artists. Host Al Ross shares a brief conversation with each, discovering how 2021 impacted their lives and work, and how they view the opportunities and challenges of the year ahead.
Ross’ guests include visual artists Eric Lee, a painter, and kiln-formed glass artist Steve Immerman, both residents of Eau Claire. The art of the written word will be celebrated with writer Nickolas Butler, of Fall Creek, and poets Thomas R. Smith, of River Falls and UW-Eau Claire Emeritus professor Max Garland. Lastly, several musicians will stop by to represent their trade - Geoffrey Keezer, jazz pianist, and saxophonist Sue Orphield are two. Cellist and vocalist Ed Willett, an original member of the Big Top Chautauqua’s Blue Canvas Orchestra is another.
