As the national presidential drama finally gives way to an orderly transfer of power, Northeast Minnesota’s Republican U.S. Rep. Pete Stauber pens a letter to colleagues urging their opposition to the confirmation of Interior Secretary Nominee Deb Haaland, who would become the nation’s first Native American cabinet member. Stauber’s effort has sparked the ire of all 574 federally recognized tribal governments. Host Robin Washington speaks with Tadd Johnson, Senior Director American Indian Tribal Nation Relations at the University of Minnesota, and Emma Dumain, Capitol Hill reporter for E&E News, about Stauber’s move and the fallout.

Also, Nigerian-born artist, storyteller and community organizer, Daniel Oyinloye joins Washington to talk about his recent live-streamed concert, “This Moment In Time.”
