Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota got socked with more than 20 inches of snow over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, making travel almost impossible.

On the Bayfield peninsula, 31 inches of snow was reported near the city of Washburn. In Douglas County, Blueberry reported 21.5 inches of snow. Duluth, Minnesota, capped off the weekend storm with a record-setting 21.7 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

“Simply Superior” host Robin Washington talks with KBJR-TV chief meteorologist Adam Clark and former Northland’s Newscenter managing editor Alison Wade about how the storm ranks in the record books. Plus, we hear Duluth Mayor Emily Larson apologize for the city’s response to the storm. Also, Superior Mayor Jim Paine weighs in on his city’s snow removal. Alisa Von Hagel with UW-Superior analyzes the two cities’ approach.
