Thursday, August 9 at 10 a.m., Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Route 51” features a reporters roundtable discussion of regional political races heading into the August 14 partisan primary election, and the tension between the White House and the media over charges of bias in political coverage.
Host Glen Moberg will moderate a discussion with Lane Kimble, News Director for WJFW-TV Newswatch 12 in Rhinelander; Molly Koweek, Morning Anchor at WAOW-TV News Nine in Wausau; and Robert Mentzer, Living and Story Telling Editor for the Wausau Daily Herald and USA Today Network Wisconsin. The program will focus on the 7th Congressional District race (between incumbent Republican Sean Duffy and his two potential Democratic Party challengers, Margaret Engebretson and Brian Ewert), the Wisconsin governor’s race, and the U.S. Senate race. “Route 51” will take listener calls live at 1-800-780-9742.
