President Donald Trump outlined his vision for national security Monday, and it contains many familiar themes of his campaign and his presidency to date.

Every president is required to produce such a document; in his first, Trump emphasizes military might as a means of wielding international influence, lays out the challenges to the U.S. from what it calls the “revisionist powers” of China and Russia, as well as states such as North Korea and Iran and terror groups such as ISIS.

Our guest, a foreign policy expert, describes the document as a “a dark and narrow vision of the world.” What do you think of the president’s national security blueprint? Did you watch his speech?
