Norman talked with violinist Naha Greenholtz who was recently named the new Concert master for the Madison Symphony Orchestra. She was born in Kyoto, Japan and raised in Canada.

She made her solo debut at the age of 14 playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. She received her BM from the Juilliard School in 2007.

Ms. Greenholtz played live from Studio One in Madison with pianist Jeannie Yu. She performed the first, third and final movements from Franck’s Sonata in A for Violin and Piano and Elgar’s Salute to Love. (By the artist’s request, only portions of these performances are available here.)
