As a growing nationwide movement, locally grown food has a range of benefits to offer. More and more families are making the choice to buy food from local food producers, even if it’s just a portion of their weekly grocery supply – and area chefs are increasingly using locally-grown foods in their menu selections. On Thursday, May 23 at 10 a.m., Wisconsin Public Radio “Route 51” host Shereen Siewert welcomes Chef Christian Czerwonka of Stevens Point along with Farmshed Executive Director Layne Cozzolino to talk about the local food movement in central and northern Wisconsin.
