May 1, 2014: UW System and Community Outreach

Air Date:
Heard On Route 51
This Thursday, the focus of “Route 51” will be on the changing role of the two year and four year schools in the UW system, and the growing emphasis of outreach to the communities they serve. The program is dedicated to the memory of former UW-Marathon County Dean, Jim Veninga, who will be honored in a tribute May 15th at the school’s UW Center for Civic Engagement. Host Glen Moberg will moderate a discussion with current UW-Marathon County Dean, Keith Montgomery; UW-Stevens Point Chancellor Bernie Patterson; and Eric Giordano, Director of the Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service, which was founded by Veninga, with a core mission of connecting the resources of the University of Wisconsin with public policy issues.
