Is mankind alone in the universe? Or, are other intelligent beings looking up into their night sky from very different worlds asking the very same kind of question? Shereen Siewert welcomes astronomer and astrophysicist Dr. Margaret “Maggie” Turnbull to discuss the most recent efforts to find Earthlike planets and other forms of intelligent life throughout the universe.
Turnbull, who lives in Antigo, will talk about her experience as part of SETI, Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute, Hubble Space Telescope team and as a consultant for NASA’s New Worlds Observer, a mission that maps planetary systems and searches for habitable planets and looks for signs of life.
