Michele Good reads from 'Girl Waits With Gun' by Amy Stewart. It’s the fictionalized story of a real-life forgotten trailblazer, Constance Kopp, one of country’s first female deputy sheriffs. Constance has received a letter from photographer Henri LaMott saying that he has pictures that may be helpful in locating Lucy Blake’s missing son. But there’s a catch, Lucy has to claim the photos by Tuesday, the next day, or they’ll be destroyed. Constance leaves immediately to find Lucy but instead discovers that Lucy’s boarding house has burned down suspiciously and now Lucy is also missing. It seems that if anyone is going to claim the photos, it’ll have to be Constance herself.
