The Future of Wisconsin’s FoodShare Programs

The new state budget signed by Governor Scott Walker last month made changes to public-assistance programs that are meant to combat waste, fraud and abuse. Wisconsin’s food assistance program, called FoodShare, will require more participants to work to be eligible for the benefits. There is also a new asset ceiling that directs benefits to people with less than $25,000 in cash on hand. Our guest explains who will most likely be affected by the state’s welfare reform and how.
