Habitat for Humanity representatives talk with Rick Reyer

Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Route 51” focuses on the impact Habitat for Humanity has on families, volunteers and communities in north central Wisconsin.

Since it’s founding in 1990, Habitat’s Wausau affiliate has built 66 homes. But, it’s what happens during construction and after the new homeowners walk through the front door that its mission lives on. Connie Conrad, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Wausau and Chad Pernsteiner, technology education teacher at D.C. Everest Sr. High School and Habitat volunteer join host Rick Reyer to talk about the Habitat mission. A Habitat Homeowner will also join the program to share how the organization has impacted his family’s life.
