North Carolina school districts are preparing for a forthcoming teachers strike, and a protest in Pueblo, Colorado is the first strike by educators in 24 years. These two are among the latest in a series of teacher protests over a variety of concerns including school funding. and pay. We explore the state of teacher protests in the United States with a scholar who studies social movements and strikes.
