Changes in the cranberry industry were discussed on The West Side on Monday, January 30 at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls.
Host Rich Kremer welcomed Tom Lochner, executive director of the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association, and Jim Reed, chief executive officer of CranGrow Cranberry Growers Cooperative of Warrens. Kremer and his guests talked about about the recent changes in the cranberry industry including the record harvest in 2016, a planned new Wisconsin research station, and the search for new uses and markets for cranberries.
