Cellist Zachary Preucil and pianist Katherine Petersen will perform a free concert on Tuesday, June 26th at 10 a.m. at the Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake as part of the Green Lake Festival. Preucil will be talking with the audience about his instrument, his career, and the pieces he’s chosen to perform.

Preucil is a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Cello Performance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Petersen has a Doctor of Music degree from the Schulich School of Music of McGill University. Both are on the faculty of the Music Institute of Chicago.

Today in the WPR performance studio Zachary Preucil performs the prelude to J.S. Bach’s Suite No. 1, then with pianist Katherine Petersen they perform one of Schumann’s fantasies followed by the finale from Edvard Grieg’s Cello Sonata in A minor.
