In the summer of 2015, Cherokee performance artist DeLanna Studi and her father retraced the path her Cherokee great-great-grandparents took when they were forced to relocate from their homelands in the 1830s. Studi recently performed the inspiring play she wrote about this experience called "And So We Walked: An Artist's Journey Along the Trail of Tears" at the Weidner Center in Green Bay.
Christopher Powless, host of "Kalihweyo'se" on WPR, interviewed Studi before her performance.
