Madison leaders say they’re frustrated with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents for failing to notify them about their arrest plans over the weekend. We discuss ICE’s actions in Madison and other cities in Wisconsin and how local leaders are responding. Then, earlier this month a museum in Brazil housing important scientific and historic artifacts was consumed by a huge fire, destroying much of its archive. We talk about what was lost in that fire and other important science news with Gemma Tarlach of Discover Magazine.

  • Science News: Prehistoric Pollination, What Was Lost In The Brazilian National Museum Fire, And More

A fire broke out at Brazil’s national museum earlier this week, leading to the loss of countless artifacts forever. The fire coincidentally coincided with the release of a report which found that important material may be unpublished as it sits in a museum, making it vulnerable to being lost. We’ll learn what’s at stake and what researcher can do to remedy the problem. Also, we take a look at the pollination habits of beetles from nearly 100 million years ago. Gemma Tarlach of Discover Magazine joins us to talk about this news and more.
