Claudia Persico is an Assistant Professor in ELPA and a faculty affiliate of the La Follette School of Public Affairs. She is also affiliated with the Center for Demography and Ecology, the Institute for Research on Poverty and the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. As a multidisciplinary policy scholar, she studies the intersection of environmental policy and education policy. In particular, her recent work examines how early exposure to environmental pollution can cause inequality by affecting child health, development and schooling outcomes.
