Riverwest Film & Video Store Subject Of Documentary At Wisconsin Film Fest
First opened in 1998 at a different location, Riverwest Film & Video has hung on by a thread to be a part of today’s world where many people simply browse their Netflix recommendations for something to watch. For those who know it well, the store is something more. Yes, they offer video rentals, film equipment, and operate Riverwest radio from their window front, but it’s also a community hangout for people of all different backgrounds. We talk with the Turkish filmmaker who has made his home in Milwaukee and chosen to capture the one-of-a-kind spirit of Riverwest Film.
