Mobil Oil Property Redevelopment; ReNEW La Crosse

Featured in this Show

  • Mobil Oil Property Redevelopment

The city of La Crosse is at the stage of planning how 65 acres of riverfront property north of downtown La Crosse will be redeveloped. It has taken years for the city to acquire and clean up the land known as the Mobil Oil and Patros properties. The city’s Redevelopment Authority is looking to the public for ideas of the type of development that should eventually go on the land. There are opportunities in March and April for the public to weigh in before an intense planning process called a charrette is held in May.

  • ReNEW La Crosse

Volunteers will be working this spring to help spruce up homes in two central La Crosse neighborhoods. There is still some time for people who live in the Powell-Poage-Hamilton and Washburn neighborhoods to apply for help with interior and exterior home remodeling or landscaping projects. There’s also time for people to become volunteers to help with the work that will be done on weekends during May and June.
