Zorba’s Experimental Beef Brisket

Ingredients

  • 1 (4 lb) beef brisket
  • As much fresh garlic as you desire
  • 1 (15 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 15-ounce package of dried apricots
  • 2 packets of dry onion soup mix
  • 2 cups water

  1. Braise the brisket in large roasting pan on high heat, 5-10 minutes on each side.
  2. Add generously amount of garlic. Sprinkle on apricots and dry onion soup mix.
  3. Mash up cranberry sauce and spread over brisket.
  4. Pour 2 cups water over all. Cover pan with foil sealing tightly and bake at 350° for about 3-4 hours.
  5. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Slice brisket in to thin strips
  6. Cook again in oven for about an hour drizzling more sauce over it.
  7. Remove and store covered in foil in refrigerator for a day. Then cook it again for an hour. Enjoy!
