Walworth County sheriff’s officials say a deputy has shot and killed a suspect in Elkhorn.

Authorities say deputies tried to pull over the suspect after he was seen driving recklessly at about 10 p.m. Thursday on Highway 12/67 near Elkhorn. The suspect failed to stop and deputies began a pursuit.

Officials say the suspect vehicle eventually came to a stop and a deputy got out of his squad car. The sheriff’s office says the suspect then drove toward the deputy, who fired his weapon, killing the man. He died at the scene. No one else was injured.
