The candidates seeking the seat in the Wisconsin Assembly representing the 28th District debate during “The West Side” 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14 on The Ideas Network Stations of Wisconsin Public Radio: 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls.
Host Dean Kallenbach will welcome Gae Magnafici of Dresser, the incumbent Republican, and Kim Butler, a Democrat from Balsam Lake. The 28th District includes most of Polk County, southwestern Burnett County and a small part of northwestern St. Croix County. There are two cities in the district – Amery and St. Croix Falls. Villages in the district include Somerset, Osceola, Frederic, Grantsburg, Balsam Lake, Centuria, Milltown, Dresser, Siren, and Webster.
