Nineteen percent of Wisconsin’s rural roads are in “poor condition,” putting the state near the top of the list when it comes to the worst states for rural roads. That’s according to a new report from a national transportation group, which also finds some trouble with the state’s rural bridges, as well. One of the report’s authors weighs in on how the roads got to this point, the possible solutions, and the debate over how to fund these infrastructure improvements.
