Tariff Dispute - Tensions are mounting over trade, and, today, President Donald Trump announced the U.S. would be placing $50 billion worth of tariffs on Chinese goods. The move comes on the heels of tariffs imposed on aluminum and steel with Canada, the European Union and Mexico.
In this hour, we’re talking about what impacts tariffs are having in the Twin Ports, northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. We’ll hear from Adele Yorde with the Duluth Seaway Port Authority. We’ll, Kelsey Johnson with the Iron Mining Association of Minnesota, and Sakib Mahmud, an associate professor of economics at UW-Superior.
