The Eau Claire Poverty Summit was discussed on The West Side on Monday, June 19 at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls.
Rich Kremer was joined by former city manager Mike Huggins to discuss Clear Vision Eau Claire, a civic engagement group that aims to fix issues surrounding poverty and income insecurity in Eau Claire County. Mike Huggins is currently a board member of Clear Vision Eau Claire. Joe Luginbill is the co-chair for Kids First - Eau Claire action team. Lance Gurney serves as co-coordinator of the Eau Claire Poverty Summit. The group has begun implementation of its plans as of March 2017. Guests talked about the progress of the initiative as well as upcoming strategies for the Clear Vision group.
