MariachiHerencia De México – an ensemble of students from Chicago’s immigrant barrios, is a relative newcomer to mariachi music with a surprise hit resulting from their debut album of traditional Mexican music, scoring them a 2017 Latin GRAMMY nomination in the “Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album” category. A powerful celebration of music and life with a showcase of splendid young talent.
