Dane County Wants Help Inmates, Families Keep in Touch

A Dane county committee has approved proposal to reduce phone charges for inmates at the Dane county jail. If approved by the county board it would make the county the first local government in the country to ban the practice of raising local revenues by charging jail inmates and their families exorbitant prices for phone calls.
