Dairyland Power Expected To Close Coal-Fired Plant

By Courtney Everett

Dairyland Power Cooperative plans to close a coal-fired plant near La Crosse by the end of 2021. This decision comes as construction was just approved to build a $700 million natural gas plant in Superior. A reporter explains why the decision was made and how it is expected to impact about 80 workers.
