The latest Marquette University poll shows that in the race for attorney general, Democratic Jefferson County D.A. Sue Happ leads Republican Waukesha County D.A. Brad Schimel.
Of the respondents who said they’ve heard enough about the attorney general candidates to form an opinion, 40 percent said they’d vote for Happ, while 33 percent support said they’d support Schimel. Among people who said they are likely voters, Happ still leads 42 percent to 32 percent.
Pollster Charles Franklin noted that about three-quarters of the 815 poll respondents said they hadn’t heard enough about Happ or Schimel to form an opinion.
