Gallagher was elected to the seat in November, replacing retiring Republican Rep. Reid Ribble. Gallagher is a former U.S. Marine who intends to seek re-election next year.
Gallagher’s spokeswoman did not immediately return a message seeking comment on Liegeois getting in the race.
