William Tishler is an emeritus professor of landscape architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an award-winning author who spent much of his career exploring and documenting rural Wisconsin buildings. He served as chair of the Wisconsin Historic Preservation Review Board and developed the master plan for Old World Wisconsin, the state’s outdoor museum of rural life.
