Lani Guinier is the Bennett Bosky Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. In 1998, she was the first woman of color appointed to a tenured position at the school. She has also worked for the Civil Rights Divison at the U.S. Department of Justice, and as head of the voting rights project for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. She is the author of "Tyranny of the Meritocracy: Democratizing Higher Education in America."
