After school culture wars, Wisconsin voters will weigh in on results

The American Library Association report released Thursday found that nearly half of the books challenged last year deal with LGBTQ themes or with race or racism, much like in years past.

Many Wisconsin school board races have turned to high-profile controversies, including efforts to remove books from school libraries, LGBTQ+ issues and how U.S. history is being taught.
