The president of the national AFL-CIO was in Madison yesterday to give Governor Jim Doyle a strong union endorsement in his re-election bid at the city’s annual annual Labor Fest. But Green Party activists almost drowned out John Sweeney’s praise for Doyle with chants demanding that the governor agree to include their candidate in televised gubernatorial debates.
