Companies Battle Over PCB Responsibility

An insurance industry group is blasting proposed legislation that backers say will speed up the Fox River Cleanup. On Thursday, two legislators announced the “Fair Claims Act.” They say it’ll force insurers to pay claims for paper companies that dumped PCB’s in the river. But the insurers say that if the bill passes, it’ll send a “horrible message to Wisconsin businesses.” Patty Murray reports…
