Officials Have Yet To Release Cause Of Death

Wisconsin officials are investigating the death of an inmate at the Felmers O. Chaney Correctional Center in Milwaukee.

The Journal Sentinel reports officials identified the inmate as 35-year-old Jeremy L. Kass, of Milwaukee. Officials say he died Friday afternoon.

Officials did not release the cause of his death but said further information would be coming soon.

Officials say an internal investigation has been launched and the Department of Corrections contacted Milwaukee police.

Kass was was sentenced this year to four years in prison, including two years of extended supervision, after pleading guilty to one count of forgery.

The correctional center has a capacity of 100 inmates. It opened in 2000.
