Democratic Frontrunner Urges Voters To Tell Johnson To 'Stop Playing Games'

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton kicked off her Wisconsin campaign Monday by attacking Republicans for blocking President Barack Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, specifically singling out Sen. Ron Johnson.

Speaking at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Clinton urged audience members to call Johnson’s office to tell him to “stop playing games with the Supreme Court.”

Johnson has said the American people should decide the direction of the court with their votes this fall. Clinton said there’s no need to wait.

“Enough is enough. It is time for us to take a stand, and you can start right here in Wisconsin,” said Clinton. “Your senator, Ron Johnson, is bragging about blocking the president.”

Clinton said the dispute over hearings on the nominee “is revealing the worst in politics,” and urged voters to consider the Supreme Court vacancy as a key issue in this fall’s election.
