The conservative Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty is promising to sue the City of La Crosse unless it drops a proposed ban on conversion therapy aimed at changing a child's sexual orientation or gender identity. Since 2018, more than a dozen Wisconsin cities have banned the practice.
