Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson is calling for Congress to reauthorize Medicare and Social Security funding on an annual basis to improve oversight over the benefit programs. Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes accused Johnson of wanting to strip workers of benefits.
