Huntington’s disease is a fatal condition that currently afflicts about 40,000 Americans, with another 200,000 at risk for inheriting it. Jane Paulsen, a research faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s neurology department, is leading a study to determine if the disease can be prevented or delayed.
